i joined around the legacy era!! just when open world was the only game mode
in retrospect, i didn't think the game would expand this much but i adore every time it updated!!
i was never really deep in the community, never chose to- i just liked the game on surface.
2022 was the era where i fell into the hyperpop subculture- and just all underground music.
i don't remember which came first to me but i do believe this game made me fall into that pipeline of
artists with their sine waves, bit-crushed vocals and hip-hop inspired lyrics. (with teenage angst.....)
interesting how all of it was so connected. i'd get into it but i don't like namedropping, i admit. but generally:
gen z was always familiar with internet culture, so seeing a lot of PNGs i recognize really hit home in a way?
despite it being a weird- culmination of 'haha' random humor. and how i managed to discover so many artists
that practically carried my last few- and tough- years of school.
and as of now, most of the artists grew out of the subgenre! and rightfully so. it's insane how i still
follow and check in to this day, and seeing their growth.
i actually had this whole shrine rotting in
my folders. but when the discontinuation of updates for nico's nextbots was announced not too long ago,
i revamped the code and finally finished this shrine.
and despite the game's end, it made me realize how much i've grown aswell, just like the artists i've followed.
it encouraged me to keep it pushing :)
it's bittersweet, really!

here's my less formal, non-drafted yapping!!!!
i guess this shrine is a small lil' gift for the game? i only plan to share
this for my small tumblr sideblog with like 3 followers lol- I DON'T KNOW i
i don't plan on sharing
this for more eyeballs- this is meant to be small.
so if u like nn and aren't a follower--
and randomly came across this-
hiiiiiii~~~~
this was so fun to make- i got so hyped to see how kinda accurate this shrine is!! kinda shocked myself.
we love!!!!
nn probably has the prettiest ui out of any roblox game i've seen- i had to recreate it
i knew i loved the color green but this game made me love it even more- since i first played this game
in the summer- seeing bright green trees outside made me feel kinda happy :)
i've already mentioned how nn introduced me to a lot of music but it also got me into 'Ao Oni'.
every morning i'd watch markiplier play the whole series, it was a blast. like what the fleak is this lil'
guy
i admit i wasn't very loud about liking nn until a few months before this shrine was made. but one day, i felt like
my input should be added. i realized i'm more likely to contribute to smaller, niche games/interests like these.
i don't know- it's small and precious.
i've been lurking around and people have been worried about how
less people are playing. but for some reason i don't really mind? i only play roblox when i'm bored or want
to revisit old games. so if roblox would still be alive the next decade, yeah i'd visit it. i like that it isn't one
of the big games, it just puts the game on the same level as 'Yume Nikki' (funnily enough it had been
referenced in the OST visualizer), which makes it obscure yet also extremely familiar to internet pop-culture.
i have this ritual where i bring a friend to my nn private server- i always lose track of time playing with them.
