lemres is a playable character from the series Puyo Puyo, a senior student who studies magic[1].
making him known as the Comet Warlock[1].
one of the most notable traits other characters recognize him for is his love and pride for candy.
not only he loves sharing candy to his peers whenever the chance, he is seemingly passionate
about the delicacy of treats. this is mostly exemplified from his magic spells[1], as they are powered by sweets- where the JP dub includes
some of his chants in french
("Parfait"[1]).
i finally got into Puyo Puyo (P.P) and mistakenly played Puyo Puyo Tetris first-
turns out it was the best mistake ever, since that's when i first saw him!! i initially heard him in the
EN dub and thought he was super chill. he became an instant and now current favorite as soon as
he came on screen! i just loved his demeanor and i have a huge weakness for characters with cute,
flowy designs- sometimes with cute hats. i eventually saw the original P.P and adored his JP voice aswell!!
oddly and incredibly satisfying to enjoy both dubs for lemres.
his design has always been so feminine leaning to me- and honestly it's inspiring. it seemingly
could be because of the P.P art style, but nevertheless, all the outfits that were designed for
him in Puyo Puyo Quest (one of the few games i've yet to play)- really exemplify his
feminine leaning style. (from what i've seen in his Puyo Nexus gallery[2],) only a small number
of character cards are masculine-leaning (e.g "Bourbon" ver.[2], "Manager Lemres"[2]- and arguably? "Doraemon" ver.[2]).
the rest of his character cards involve a longer garment flowing in the wind, almost dress-like?
it almost makes him look like a magical princess. it's charming! i mean- the 'Tree Lemres'[2] card
is literally him in a dress. even though i'm not AMAB[3], i feel validated. not a lot of male character designs
or even fashion in real life are incredibly 'flowy', and are instead quite stiff and stationary.
it's refreshing!! he really brightens my world, i love him!!
